Victoria had existing state disability services (DFFH) prior to NDIS that were partially wound back. Some legacy services remain operational. New foundational support framework in development.

What it covers

Existing DFFH services include some community and residential supports. New foundational layer scope not yet confirmed.

Contact the Department of Families, Fairness and Housing (DFFH) to ask about existing state services. New programs to be announced.

About the April 2026 NDIS changes
