What's changing
Pricing pressure
The 2025–26 Price Guide has introduced tighter indexation and removed some line items entirely. For providers operating on thin margins — particularly in SIL, SDA, and daily activities — the economics are changing fast.
Participant caseload risk
Around 160,000 participants are expected to transition off the NDIS over the coming years. Providers with high concentrations of participants in lower-intensity or social/community participation supports face the greatest caseload risk.
Registration changes
The registration framework is being reviewed. Unregistered providers face new constraints on which participants they can work with. Registered providers should expect tighter audit requirements and workforce screening obligations.
Workforce obligations
The SCHADS Award continues to be a compliance risk for many providers. Combined with potential headcount adjustments from caseload changes, workforce management is the second-most-cited concern in the sector right now.
The assessment
10 questions. A clear action list.
We assess your organisation across five risk dimensions and give you a prioritised list of things to do before the changes fully bed in.
Revenue exposure
How dependent are you on NDIS funding? High dependency with no plan B is the most common risk we see.
Registration status
Are you positioned for the new rules? Unregistered providers face the most immediate compliance exposure.
Service agreements
When did you last review them? Outdated agreements are a liability in the new pricing environment.
Billing and operations
Can your systems handle the changes? Manual processes create unnecessary risk and overhead.
Concern and workforce
What keeps you up at night? We factor in your own read of the situation and your workforce outlook.
